Scrollwalk vs Matterport: which is right for your listings?

Updated 15 October 2026

Short answer: choose Matterport when buyers need a measurable 3D model they can explore in any direction. Choose Scrollwalk when you want a cinematic, phone-first listing page made from an ordinary phone video, with enquiries and viewing requests built in, that you can share on Instagram, WhatsApp and in DMs.

How they work

Matterport creates a 3D model, often called a digital twin, of a property. You capture it with a compatible 3D or 360° camera, or a guided phone scan, and buyers click from point to point to explore. It also offers a dollhouse view, floor plans and measurements.

Scrollwalk starts from a single walkthrough video filmed on a phone. It turns that video into a scroll-controlled walkthrough: as the buyer scrolls, they walk forward through the home along the route you filmed, with captions appearing at the moments that matter. The walkthrough sits at the top of a full listing page with AI-drafted copy, photos, floor plans, an enquiry form, private viewing requests and a WhatsApp button.

When Matterport is the better choice

  • Buyers or tenants need accurate measurements and a dollhouse view.
  • The property is large or complex and buyers want to explore every room in any order.
  • You already own a compatible 3D camera and your market expects 3D tours on the main portals.

When Scrollwalk is the better choice

  • You market listings on Instagram, WhatsApp and in DMs, where buyers are on phones and scrolling is second nature.
  • You want a polished listing page and walkthrough the same day, using only your phone.
  • You want the page to do the selling too: AI-drafted copy, captions, photos, floor plans, enquiries and viewing requests in one link.
  • You’re an owner selling privately and need one beautiful listing page without buying equipment.

Can you use both?

Yes. Some agents keep a 3D tour for buyers who want measurements and use a Scrollwalk page as the link they share everywhere else. The two answer different questions: a 3D tour shows exactly what the space is, and a scroll walkthrough shows what it feels like to walk in.

What Scrollwalk costs

A single listing is a one-off $15 (₹699 in India) for 90 days. Monthly plans for individual agents start at $19 for 5 active listings, and Team plans start at $99 a month with an agency website included. Matterport’s plans change over time, so check Matterport’s pricing page for current prices. See Scrollwalk pricing.

Pre-launch access to Scrollwalk opens on 23 October 2026 for everyone on the waitlist, with 3 free listings.

Questions

Common questions.

Is Scrollwalk a Matterport alternative?

For many listings, yes. If you want buyers to experience a home online and send an enquiry, Scrollwalk does that with a phone video instead of a 3D camera, and it includes the listing page, enquiries and viewing requests. If you need a measurable 3D model of the space, Matterport is the better tool.

Do I need a special camera for Scrollwalk?

No. Scrollwalk works with an ordinary walkthrough video from a recent phone. A gimbal makes it smoother and drone footage works well for arrivals, but neither is required.

Can buyers measure rooms in Scrollwalk?

No. Scrollwalk is a video walkthrough, not a 3D scan, so it doesn’t offer measurements or a dollhouse view. You can add floor plans to every listing so buyers can see the layout and sizes.

Which is better on phones?

Scrollwalk is designed around phones: buyers move through the home with the same scrolling gesture they use all day, and the page adapts to tall screens. 3D tours work on phones too, but navigating a 3D model by tapping is usually easier on a larger screen.

Can I use Scrollwalk and Matterport together?

Yes. Some agents use Matterport for measurements and a Scrollwalk page for marketing: the Scrollwalk link goes in Instagram posts, WhatsApp messages and on signboards, while the 3D tour stays available for buyers who want to explore every corner.
